Jeffrey Dean Morgan's Funny Faux Pas: The Butler Did It (Not Really)

In the world of Hollywood, it's not uncommon for celebrities to be mistaken for one another. But for actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a recent incident took things to new heights – or rather, new lows. During a red carpet event, photographers began screaming 'Javier! Javier!' as he walked by, and in response, Morgan decided to flip them off.

In an interview with U.S. Weekly, Morgan revealed that the incident occurred after he attended a party in New York City. As he was making his way down the red carpet, the paparazzi started calling out 'Javier, Javier!' – much to Morgan's confusion and amusement.

'I went to a party here in New York, and as I was walking the red carpet, the paparazzi just started screaming 'Javier, Javier!',' Morgan recalled. 'And I flipped them off... I was trying to be funny – I don't know if it was construed as funny.'

The incident has led many to believe that Morgan's doppelganger, Spanish actor Javier Bardem, was involved in the commotion. However, Morgan insists that he was just trying to have a laugh and didn't mean to cause any trouble.

Despite being mistaken for Bardem on numerous occasions, Morgan seems to take it all in stride. In fact, he has even revealed that he once got Bardem into trouble by pretending to be him at an event. 'I get (mistaken for) Javier Bardem a lot,' Morgan admitted during his interview.

So the next time you're tempted to shout out 'Javier!' on the red carpet, remember – it might just be Jeffrey Dean Morgan walking by, trying to make a joke and having a laugh.
